MUST SEE MOVIE: The Green Hornet

Hey guys! I'm sorry I wasn't able to blog these days. I'm kinda busy. But how are you? Well I just received some bad news, there was a bomb threat here in Metro Manila, a bus exploded earlier this morning, my dad texted me and he warned me to be careful from public places. It was scary, my God, what's happening? Can't we just have a normal life free from these bomb threats. Another sad thing, my previous co-worker at OWWA died from a motorcycle accident. Condolence to his family and friends.


I'm sorry, I'm stressing you out with all these sad news. Okay so the main topic for today's blog is the movie "The Green Hornet". We watched "The Green Hornet" at WalterMart here in Makati. The movie was great, it's directed by Michel Gondry, starring Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz, Jay Chou and Christop Waltz. I think it was a movie before and they made a film again, but they made it more exciting. The guy who played Kato was super cute.


Playboy Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) becomes the new publisher of Los Angeles' "The Daily Sentinel" after the sudden death of his father. Britt's party life is about to change when he and his driver and kung fu expert, Kato (Jay Chou), stop a robbery. With the help of Kato, Britt starts a new career of fighting crime as the masked superhero "The Green Hornet".


It was an action-comedy type of movie, the effects are awesome. The car in the movie was amazing, more amazing than Bumble Bee in Transformers and it has a name too, "Black Beauty". I attached a picture of the car here. Cameron Diaz was hot in that movie. The fighting scenes were amazing too. I think I used the word "amazing" too much, but I don't care because it was Ah-mazing!!


So, you better watch it, it's great and AMAZING! Thumbs up for "The Green Hornet"

MUST TRY: Krocodile Grille at Greenbelt

Good morning! It’s 10:34 in the morning, I just got home from work. Well I got home at around 9:45, and then I ate my breakfast, it’s one piece chicken and rice which I bought at a convenient store. I was so hungry; I didn’t eat during my lunch at work, so I bought my breakfast before I went straight home. It’s my off by the way! Yey!

Ok, so this blog is again about food. Last Sunday me and my friends went to Greenbelt for lunch. We were thinking where we should it, we went to Glorietta but we can’t decide if we like to eat at Glorietta so long story short we ate at Greenbelt. There’s a restaurant in Greenbelt where we are all been dying to try out for a long time, we just never got the chance to eat there whenever we go to Greenbelt and I don’t know why but last Sunday we actually did, so we had our lunch at this super delicious restaurant “Krocodile Grille”.

The ambiance was okay, nothing special, the food was exquisite. It’s so cheap and the taste was great! We ordered like 6 dishes. We ordered “bake tahong”, “sinigang na hipon”, “kare-kareng baka”, “seafood pasta”, “spicy chicken”,”inihaw na liempo” and “inihaw na pusit”, It was like we’ve been sentenced to death. We were five, Me, Nil, Shai, Princess and Annafe. I love the “bake tahong”, it’s very cheesy. The “sinigang” was ah-mazing, I love the soup, “kare-kare” was the best also, everything! We weren’t able to finish the “seafood pasta” because we were so full.

The service was great too, they gave us complimentary crackers while we were waiting for our food, the food was served fast unlike some restaurants that you have to wait like forever, and you will probably die because of hunger before the food is even ready. So I will give Krocodile Grille a “10”. Good job!

So if you will be going to Greenbelt, this is definitely a must try! I don’t know if they have other branches but I’m pretty sure they do. So there!  Tell me if you love the restaurant, post it as a comment below, talk to you guys later bye!

The Act of Forgiveness

Hey guys! How are you, I hope you’re doing well. This blog will be kind of different because this is a serious topic. Forgiveness. When should you forgive a person? How can you ask yourself to forgive that person? How can you tell that you’re ready to forgive? Why is it hard to forgive?

According to Wikipedia,  Forgiveness is typically defined as the process of concluding resentment, indignation or anger as a result of a perceived offense, difference or mistake, and/or ceasing to demand punishment or restitution. The Oxford English Dictionary defines forgiveness as 'to grant free pardon and to give up all claim on account of an offense or debt'. The concept and benefits of forgiveness have been explored in religious thought, the social sciences and medicine. Forgiveness may be considered simply in terms of the person who forgives including forgiving themselves, in terms of the person forgiven and/or in terms of the relationship between the forgiver and the person forgiven.

In a relationship, you will experience hardships and problems. It’s not always joy and happiness. There will be times when you will go on a rough patch together. Sometimes, just one mistake can change your life forever. When you hurt the person you love, it will cause hate, anger, pain and sadness. A sadness that will envelop your life and eventually make your life miserable. It’s hard to ask for forgiveness if you are the cause of someone’s pain. But it’s hard to forgive if you’re hurt and betrayed. How can someone ask for forgiveness? When someone you care the most hurts you, it’s really hard to forgive. You want to look for ways to revenge and hurt that person.  But the question is, are you going to be happy after?

Forgiveness is generally a decision to let go of the pain, resentment and thoughts of revenge. What are the benefits of forgiveness? According to Dr. Katherine Piderman Ph.D, Letting go of grudges and bitterness makes way for compassion, kindness and peace. Forgiveness can lead to:

§         Healthier relationships

§       Greater spiritual and psychological well-being

§       Less stress and hostility

§        Lower blood pressure

§        Fewer symptoms of depression, anxiety and chronic pain

§        Lower risk of alcohol and substance abuse

If you’re the person who asks for forgiveness, sort your thoughts. Analyze your mistakes. Admit it and look for ways to correct it. It’s not easy to ask for forgiveness, it takes all the courage to admit your mistakes. Be sincere; don’t ask for forgiveness if you don’t mean it.

If you’re the person who experienced pain and sadness learn to forgive. If you’re unforgiving you may pay the price repeatedly by bringing anger and problems on your next relationships. People may think that you don’t listen. You may lose your friends and it’s unhealthy. It’s hard to forgive yes, but after you forgive someone eventually you will feel better, forgiving someone doesn’t mean that you deny the other person’s responsibility of hurting you, it will bring you peace that will help you go on with your life.

So what I’m trying to say here is if you are in a relationship, be open with each other. Talk and communicate, that’s the most important factor of a relationship. If you don’t talk and share you’re feelings it will cause a lot of pain after. You have to talk about your problems and work together to fix it. Love one another. Be honest. It’s not just the best policy but it will help you earn someone’s trust.

Forgiveness is not something we do for other people, we do it for ourselves - to get well and move on.

Movies to Watch Out for 2011! :)

Holla! hey guys..I just got home from work..I'm so tired but I'm doing good..So how are you guys? I hope you're okay.. So i'm here again doing another blog. I have a question for you, do you love watching movies??? Well, who doesn't?! Ha! Me, I love movies, I'm a big sucker for movies too, watching a good movie once in a while will not hurt you. If you're stressed, it's a good way to ease your mind, watching a "feel good" movie is a big help.

For instance, the award-winning movie "A Walk to Remember", a book written by the ever famous author Nicholas Sparks. I'm sure most of you shed a bagful of tears when you watched this movie. I watched this movie for like a hundred times but I still love it, until now every time I watch it it's really impossible for me not to cry. It's a very romantic, heart-breaking, touching and classic movie. Most of Nicholas Sparks' novels are heart-breaking and I don't know if you notice this, most of the main characters die in the end, like Jamie Sullivan in "A Walk to Remember" and the movie "The Notebook". right? but all of his novels are really touching and very moving. I love "The Notebook" too. 

I heard that his other book "Safe Heaven" is also a must read. So you can include that on your Must-Read books.

So going back to our main topic, do you have any hints about the movies that will be released this year? I'm not a big fan of Twilight, I don't know, I'm just not into vampires. When I watched New Moon, I literally fell asleep. hahaha! Before, I don't like Harry Potter too, but I saw it and it's good. It's not the best but it's tolerable than Twilight. Peace guys that's just my opinion ok?
